He Pākehā ahau, he Tangata Tiriti ahau. I am a descendant of Scottish, English, Irish, German, Polish and Pākehā ancestors resting in the whenua of Aotearoa. I reside in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, lands under the manaakitanga of Te Ātiawa, Ngāti Toa and Taranaki whānui.

This environment offers so much wisdom and provocation to my practice. I am a multimedia creator. I practice with the earth, in live performance art, sculpture, installations, video photography and written works.

I am a concept, dream driven artists; the medium often arrives later.

I understand my art to be a healing practice, motivated by reconciling and understanding identity and the legacy inherited by my body, which constructs a certain way of ‘knowing’. It is identity recovery work that places me and connects me to culture and identity.
